Easter sweets

I am very excited about all the Easter sweets and treats in the shop. I am sure the novelty of such displays will wear off sometime. Until then I shall revel in the shear abundance of lovely eye candy.

Brick Lane

We have had some cracking weather the last few days and so off we went to Brick lane. I think Jos's main reason was to have a Salt beef bagel and very nice it was too. Having completely forgotten how to get there it was much needed sustenance. The old Truman Brewery reminded me a lot of the artist district in Beijing.

Portobello Market

It has been nearly 10 years since I went to Portobello Market. It's quite easy for me to get to as I can get a bus more or less straight to it. So Friday off I went. Have to say was uninspired . I did however buy lots of lovely veg and nice bread and loved looking at all the old cotton reels and buttons. At twenty quid a large reel that's all I did!

The Queen of Hearts

Bake to my old baking ways. It was Jos's birthday and a small 4 course meal for 8.
